Our Restaurant in Hong Kong
Posted by 馬先生 under Hong Kong
Not Cantonese related, however, my wife and I have opened a Vietnamese Restaurant last week 15-5-2011 and we’ll be very happy if you came to say hello if you are in the region. Hmmmm… maybe it’s time to put up some Cantonese MP3 monologues on food and customer service related topics. Thank you.

When I go to Hong Kong I’ll definetely go to your restaurant to check out the food. But just one question : why a vietnamese restaurant ? I’ve tried vietnamese food before and it was ok, but nothing extraordinary. Do people in Hong Kong nowadays are very much into vietanmese food or something?
Good luck!

I’ll be in Hong Kong next week for about a month. I’ll definitely stop by and give your restaurant a try! If you don’t mind me asking, are you the sole proprietor, or is it a joint venture?
Best of luck to you!

Hi Marcelo,
Vietnamese food is something we have done in the past. So hence why we do it.
Hi Tim,
The restaurant is a limited company where my wife and I are the directors.
We’ve been having aircon issues plaguing us and it doesn’t help with 34deg weather.
Looking much better now that we have resolved some teething issues, but now need to find a way to promote so that customers know that the air conditioner is under control now.
The new chef is fantastic, I’m very impressed with the quality and far exceeds that of the previous one.
Thanks very much Tim and hope to see you.

Hi Milan, just wanted to check in with you. I hope you and your family are doing well. How is the restaurant doing?
I am still studying Cantonese and still hoping to move to Hong Kong someday. We’ll see. Anyway, I hope to make to HK in the springtime, if I do I will look you up at your restaurant. All the best! Diana

I found your blog because I’m studying Cantonese myself, but then I saw this post and your restaurant is right next to my house! I suppose I’ll have to pop in sometime to give it a try!
