Hope you can understand… just talking out of my head without any rehearsal. I know I sound very foreign, but at least I tried.

I do appreciate your effort la……
I think you can’t expect everybody like you, there must be some people discourge you. Just ignore them la……

HI agree with first comment. Your recent blog about McDonalds and your sub title on the video sound like you are a bit down - I am really impressed and inspired by your efforts and progress. Honestly, remember back to where you were when you first started… I am there now, and seeing you so far along the path is very inspirational. Keep up the good work.

I am a Hong Kong people who is going to study in Australia(very interesting :p,I found your page when searching on net for English resources)
I’ve to give a fair comment to you:
Your Cantonese fluency is better than many people whose first language is not Cantonese.
The accent is a bit different from local Hong Kong guys. But for me it seems very comfortable to hear from your voice.
You know, accent stuff is the hardest job to get used to in learning language.I think you know that:P
If you really wanna learn Cantonese accent,I suggest that you listen to radio or watch celeberity interviews on TV rather than watching movie. It’s becoz the dialogue in movie is sort of overwhelming. That’s not normal life.Sometimes people wouldn’t say things like the way they say in real world.
Anyway, happy to c you have the ambition in facing this “Cantonese Challenge”, as other Chinese also c “Cantonese” as a difficult dilect.
Feel free to exchange with me since I wanna learn australian english as well

Very good. I think perhaps you can now put more effort in reading. You will enjoy more about the language and culture. Also, the books won’t criticize your Cantonese level.

I’ve just finished listening to your youtube video and I can say that your progress is quite evident. I can see that you’re much more comfortable when speaking and it comes more naturally to you now. Also, I see that your rhythm has improved and that you have a much better ‘’sense” of the language : the pronunciation is clearer, you’re not trying to speak fast in order to try to sound more native, which by the way always ends up screwing up the rhythm and pronunciation of the words. I won’t say that I understood everything completely. But that’s because of my rusty Cantonese, which has led me to total oblivion of tons of words. In any case, I could look them up in cantodict without any problem. So, all your study has paid off. Keep going.

I can’t view it:
“This is a private video. If you have been sent this video, please make sure you accept the sender’s friend request.”
I’m guessing since you put it on your world-viewable blog you meant to make it viewable to anyone.
